Best Italian Restaurants in Merrillville, IN

Wonderful food, wonderful service and great experience celebrating an anniversary. Music was just a little loud - seemed like people had to talk louder to talk over it at times but it was not an issue.

My wife and I have been wanting to try Coppolillo's for a while now and finally decided to go for our anniversary. This place did not disappoint. We made a reservation for 5:30 but arrived a little early and was sat immediately. We were instantly greeted with Oscar who brought us bread oil and cheese. Our waitress Bree came and greeted us and went over the wine and drink menu. She did an excellent job of giving us time but also still checking on us. She went over all menu questions and even offer suggestions. Everything we ordered was beyond delishus. Oscar was also amazing coming to clear plates we were finished with and refilling bread when empty. Then he boxed and bagged all leftovers. We will definitely returning to try more of their menu.

Fantastic service and the wild boar pasta is a must alongside lamb lollipops to finish it off!

Best food and service around. True display of the definition of teamwork!!! Server was awesome and attentive. Bus boys and others teammates were attentive and working like a well oiled machine. I would eat here every single night if I could afford it. To the amazing gentleman server who tried to assist my daughter with taking her coat off, THANK YOU!! She has high anxiety and that’s why she reacted that way…but I truly appreciated your generosity ❤️ She didn’t realize what was happening when you tried to assist her.

Our server, Dominic, made it a fantastic dinner! He was attentive and in a great mood even though he was working on Christmas Eve. He made suggestions and seemed to know the menu very well. Other servers stopped by the table, as did the chef and the manager to make sure we were happy. There was a surprising number of guests in the restaurant that night and they still made time for us. The Fra Gee Lay was delicious and the leg lamp glass was hilarious! It was my first Christmas Eve without my whole family home and I wasn't sure what to expect. Dominic helped make the night a lot of fun and we had a great time! The food was outstanding - I have been to Fiori many times but it was my son's first time as he lives in Ft. Wayne. He raved about the food and said I didn't do the place justice even though I told him how good it was. My only wish would have been for more holiday decorations. The other side restaurant was very festive, but on the Fiori side you almost didn't know there as a holiday going on.
