Last Christmas it wasn't a great experience but this year on Thanksgiving and Christmas both experiences were great. Food was great and all the employees were extremely friendly. Loved it!More infoBuca di Beppo - MesaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Mesa•4.1
- JJoannePhoenix / Arizona •23 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe first visited North Italia when it initially opened and we weren't impressed. Obviously they were still experiencing all of the challenges associated with a new biz. This time we tried it for Christmas Eve dinner, which would really illustrate any glaring problems, if there were any. Everything was running smoothly. The restaurant was very busy but tables were turning over swiftly and efficiently. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. My husband had the squid ink pasta with seafood, which is a favorite dish of his. He said it was one of the best he ever had. I had the pork Milanese. I was so happy to see that it was a real pork cutlet, not a frozen patty that many restaurants use. It was topped with a very generous portion of prosciutto. The flavor was wonderful. We also started with the carpaccio, which was perfect for sharing and came with two large yummy pieces of grilled bread. We will definitely frequent North Italia more often now.More infoNorth Italia - GilbertPrice: Moderate• Italian• Gilbert•4.7
- GGregSan Francisco Bay Area •24 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoFirst time for us. A very pleasant experience in what we would call a neighborhood eatery. We're right down the road. Service was excellent. Our server (Gloria) was on top of things and very good with customers. The calamari was crispy, tender and very tasty. She had the chicken picata and loved it. I had the wine braised ribs and thought it outstanding. So good I'd like to try it at home. The manager, who I later learned was the owner, was everywhere taking very good care of his customers and his business. A "go getter" young man who is definitely succeeding. Kudos to the entire operation. Two minor comments: 1) the lighting was a bit dim, and 2) it made it difficult for an elderly type like me to read the menu fine print. On a personal note, please put osso bucco on the daily menu and add Wild Turkey 101 to the bar selection. Nit picky I know. But...highly recommended and we will definitely be back.More infoSam & Luca Italian BistroPrice: Moderate• Italian• Mesa•4.7
- JJACQUELINEVIPChicago / Illinois •8 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI had shrimp risotto and wedge salad, delicious! We sat outside. Patio is nice. Server was very attentive. Only complaint would be when we walked in, we went up to the hostess stand. Two girls chatted, stacked menus, etc and were oblivious to two customers just standing there. Finally my girlfriend said Hi, we have a reservation. Not a great first contact for a restaurant but the amazing food and great server made for a great night.More infoBrio Italian Grille - Gilbert - San TanPrice: Moderate• Italian• Gilbert•3.7
