We were thankful to secure a reservation at this restaurant, which was inside our hotel, following the terrorist attack that occurred on Bourbon Street early this morning. The pizza and ceasar salad were great. Both items were shareable with the pizza including 8 slices. The salad was shared amongst three people. The service was perfect considering the soberness and sadness in the air. I do not recommend the cauliflower appetizer—bland, very hard to share, no flavor and unimpressive presentation. Overall, I would not consider this a destination restaurant but could see it being a great spot with a nice atmosphere post Saints game or concert event for pizza.

Start of the evening was a bit shaky, as we sat for 10 min. before the host noticed we had not even gotten water, or been seen by the server, but he was apologetic and things quickly improved. The restaurant is NOT a place for a quiet dinner for two--it is very "high energy" (loud!) Cocktails were well-made and tasty. The two different pasta dishes we had were very good, with the pasta itself perfectly cooked. Grilled Napa lettuce appetizer was delicious as well. The Barbera by the glass was a nice wine. Panna Cotta dessert was delicious. Overall, a very good meal- we will return (I want to try the pizzas, which looked great).

Food was outstanding, the chocolate cake a la mode is definitely something I would recommend. It was rich and delicious, and the vanilla ice cream was fancy, fresh, and refreshing, according to my daughter! The ambience was charming. A bit loud, but we could still hear. Service was great, and waitress had “rizz” (again, according to my daughter ;) Overall, the restaurant was quaint and nice place to eat. Would recommend!

Excellent service and food. Our waiter was very attentive and went out of his way to make sure we were happy, even offered us a tour of the restaurant after dinner. My wife had the shrimp and crawfish fettuccine in a light cream sauce, and she said it was excellent. I had the duck Saint Philip, also excellent the oysters Irene were excellent as was the Caprese salad. New York cheesecake and bread pudding for dessert, cheesecake was excellent, bread pudding was so so. All in all, Irene‘s is an excellent dining experience. If you’re in New Orleans IMO.

Beautiful restaurant in a great location at the end of the French Quarter, just before Frenchman Street. It is very small, with just a few tables which made for a quiet and personalized service. As well, the wine list was great with many Italian wines and the menu was incredible. It has a home cooked italian meal kind of feel but elevated to be more fancy. We really loved everything about this restaurant. Also, leave room for dessert. It was so delicious!
