My husband lived in Japan for 10 years. He said it was the first time since then (24 years ago) that he’s had sushi he was excited about eating. Everything was amazing thank you so much for a great evening.

I’ve been going to Yopparai for nearly fifteen years. It’s a perfect combination of both familiar and inventive izakaya food — with, of course, great pairings of sake, shochu, and other beverages. The staff, chefs, and owners are always attentive and go the extra mile. Excited to see an old favorite still going strong!

Cute and cozy ambiance with the dimmed amber lighting, decor, and miyazaki film playing behind the bar. Service was great, staff was friendly and fast. We ordered a bunch; we especially liked the okonomiyaki (pork here instead of octopus) and the rest of the apps/entrees were decent. We weren't too fond of the omusoba, it was sauced similarly to the okonomiyaki above but for this dish wasn't a good balance for us. The whiskey sodas were refreshing but on the weaker side. Overall would come back and recommend.
