Mujō is a one MICHELIN star, intimate, omakase-only tasting menu experience serving modern edomae sushi led by Executive Chef J. Trent Harris. Our menu changes daily and reflects the best seasonal ingredients available, as well as fish flown in directly from Japan. The experience consists of a series of small plates and a progression of seasonal nigiri. We are inspired by the Japanese concept of ichi-go ichi-e, 一期一会, or “one time, one meeting. Our goal is not to recreate the sushiya of Japan, but to offer an experience that represents who and where we are, while respecting and honoring the traditions of edomae sushi. Inspired by the concept of omotenashi, but rooted in southern hospitality.

The Halibut and Red Snapper were outstanding, and Katelyn was an amazing server who was very knowledgeable about the menu. It was very disappointing that we had 8:45 reservations, but we were not seated until 9:15. This was Valentines weekend, but I feel that a restaurant of this caliber should have been better prepared for the holiday crowd.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at O-Ku, and I can't stop thinking about the experience. The newly refreshed space is absolutely beautiful. The décor is modern yet cozy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the lighting to the seating, making it a delightful place to dine. Our server, Alysha (I hope I’ve spelled her name right!), truly made the experience unforgettable. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and kind throughout our meal. It's rare to come across someone so genuinely passionate about providing great service, and Alysha definitely went above and beyond. She made sure we were well taken care of without being overbearing, and her warm attitude made the evening even more special. We will definitely be back!!

Nobu was an amazing experience, from the ambience to the music to food… Nobu was beautifully decorated only matched by its delicious food… I don’t drink but, mock-tail LYRE LIAR was absolutely tasty I believe I had about 3 glasses… something about the coconut milk and the pineapple juice 👩🏽‍🍳💋…..ohhhhh And the Wagyu Tacos 🤤 tiny delicious, buttery, juice , tender…. Coming back just for these alone. The Parmesan rice with truffle butter 🤯🤩🥳 was a flavor party in my mouth… it’s rich creamy, comes to the table sizzling and bits of mushrooms throughout. Never knew I needed something so 😋 tasty.

Service is always exceptional! Food tasted great as usual. Only issue we had was one of the plates ordered was steak and lobster but only lobster was served. Chef said it was noted as only lobster. All in all there was so much food we all got more than enough. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought a special dessert with waiters singing. Overall we had a great time as always!

Umi delivers an outstanding sushi dining experience, combining top-tier service, a stylish ambiance, and high-quality cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the sleek yet inviting decor sets the tone for an elegant meal. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance—sophisticated but not pretentious, making it ideal for both special occasions and casual nights out. The service at Umi is impeccable. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, offering knowledgeable recommendations and ensuring a smooth, enjoyable dining experience. From the moment we were seated, everything felt seamless, from drink refills to perfectly timed dish arrivals. As for the food, every bite reflected freshness and precision. The sushi was expertly crafted, with high-quality fish that practically melted in your mouth. Signature rolls offered a creative twist without overpowering the delicate flavors of the ingredients. The hot dishes were equally impressive, with standout items like the miso-glazed black cod and tempura that was light and crisp. Pricing is on par with similar high-end sushi spots, making it a great value given the quality of food and overall experience. Umi proves that you don’t have to compromise when it comes to great sushi, excellent service, and a welcoming ambiance. Highly recommended!
