Best Japanese Restaurants in Erie

Went on Valentine’s Day for dinner. As expected the place was super packed and really backed up which lead to some very upset customers. Throughout all that chaos the servers remained extremely friendly and hustled hard. Food was phenomenal and we greatly appreciated our experience.

Ocean Prime delivered an exceptional dining experience for Valentine’s Day. The food was nothing short of outstanding, with every dish crafted to perfection. Our server was not only attentive but also had impeccable recommendations, ensuring we got the best of both the menu and the night’s drink specials. While the restaurant was busier than expected, and the noise level was a bit higher than ideal, it didn’t overshadow the quality of the meal or the overall experience. If I had to rate it, I’d confidently give Ocean Prime a 4.7 out of 5—an excellent choice for a special occasion or an upscale night out.

Going on Valentine's Day was truly frenetic, but I have to give this restaurant a lot of credit because the service was amazing and the food was spot on. The hamachi was a nice portion, and the poke bowl was a lot bigger than we imagined...and that was all we could eat. We will be back.

Seats are hard wood, very uncomfortable. The establishment needs to provide cushions, different chairs, or something.

Great experience. We had a baby so we were a bit nervous about her possibly crying and disrupting the other people at our table. The older couple next to us adored her and were lovely. The chef was good but could have been a bit more interactive, we have had some very fun chefs in the past. The service was great, server kept our drinks full and kept asking if everything was good. We got seated on time with our reservation. The manager even gave us a $10 gift card at the end and we thought that was great. We used it to go towards a bottle of plum wine to go on our way out. Altogether lovey experience! We will be back as always.
