- JJamilvipChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoMy husband and I enjoyed an amazing Thanksgiving dinner yesterday at RPM Steak. The entire experience was top notch. From the ambiance to the service to the cocktails and wine to the delicious food to the meticulous timing and orchestration, we could not have been more impressed. And unlike last year at Prime & Provisions (excellent food and service as well), we were not limited to a rushed 90 minute seating. To the contrary, everything was leisurely, calming, and paced to our liking and comfort. Now on to the food. We both started with the harvest salad, which was tasty, zesty, and refreshing. Followed by possibly the best lobster bisque soup either of us have ever had. For our entrees, my husband had the halibut and I had the turkey (roasted white meat, fried dark meat). Both were superb. High quality ingredients and skillful preparation. The meal also included three sides. The mashed potatoes and bread stuffing were outstanding, the green bean casserole was just okay. Perhaps for future Thanksgiving meals, they may want to offer patrons a selection of five or six sides, for which each table selects three. For our desserts, my husband had the carrot cake and I had the pecan pie (or rather, we shared both). Oh my. Talk about yummy and delectable! Chicago would be well-served if RPM Steak opened a bakery next door. All and all, our first visit to RPM Steak was exceptional and memorable. All the more to be thankful for on Thanksging day.More infoRPM SteakPrice: Very Expensive• Steak• River North (Chicago)•4.7
- MMichaelChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined on 7 Nov 2024I took my girlfriend her for her birthday. I was looking for a different experience then the typical river north or west loop restaurants which are very expensive. We were greeted at the door and made to feel welcomed right away. We were seated right away and made simple talk with the owner and the chef as we waited for the other couple that would be joining us for dinner. As soon as they arrived, the owner thanks us for coming and told us how the concept works. The drinks he made were delicious. The food was next level. Every dish was delicious. They actively are engaged with you the entire time. Honestly, it felt like you were at a friends house have dinner instead of being at restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the experience and especially for the food!More infoAJIPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese Speciality• Lakeview / East Lakeview•4.9
