Usually these places have one thing and not the other but this place had it all! The atmosphere was phenomenal, device was great, they helped celebrate a birthday for us and did amazing ! We appreciate the personalized menu with a crown and sash. The drinks were fantastic and IG worthy! Plates were delicious and very filling! Start with my go-to drink......The Cozanna.....the most luscious and addicting margarita know to man! The service from the valet to the greeting to the servers.....everyone is doing something right! How about drinks and apps on a patio that is cozy and famous? It's here! Do yourself a favor and don't be the only one that doesn't know about this establishment...........one visit and you'll be writing a review like this too! 6 stars!More infoMaya Del SolPrice: Expensive• Latin American• Oak Park•4.8

It is relatively new on the scene but firing on all cylinders. You walk in and are warmly greeted by people who aim to make you feel at home. The atmosphere is lively. The drinks at the bar are easily accessible and have a vast array of options, and the bartenders know how to adjust to your taste if needed. (Get the espresso martinis!) The servers are knowledgeable and take their jobs seriously—a big shout-out to Antonio and Christian. Every dish is immaculate and embraces true Mexican roots—they do not shy away from using different colors of corn as they do in traditional Mexican food. Of course, you must try the Mole topped with delicious crispy pork belly. Hats off to Jorge Angulo. He is not only so friendly, but I genuinely believe he is trying to communicate his love for food on the plate before you. He is definitely a rising star in the Chicago scene. I can’t wait to continue coming here for a long time and can genuinely say this is my new go-to when I’m entertaining my friends in town, date night, or want a fantastic meal.More infoVelaPrice: Expensive• Mexican• River North (Chicago)•4.6

- MMaryChicago / Illinois •69 reviews5.0Dined on 27 Oct 2024Beautiful brunch experience! From the engaging details of PUBLICO that were thoughtfully designed on the 1st floor space to the cozy “red glass room” which created a fun ambiance. The Latin American brunch menu which my church friend, Jan ordered a delicious double crab cake benedict with perfectly cooked poached eggs and a drizzle of hollandaise sauce complimented with roasted potatoes. I thoroughly enjoyed my order of the El Americano — eggs made to order (chose perfectly scrambled eggs), with 3 meats of sliced ham, maple bacon and chorizo sausage link along with those great roasted potatoes. Yum!!! Will definitely be back to try the dinner menu. Also service was very attentive by manager, Sandra, because we arrived for a late brunch at 1:30pm-2pm so there was just a few other tables. I think it was so new only 3 months open that this place — AltaVida! is a best kept secret because they haven’t done any advertising or promotion that they’re open for weekend brunch yet.More infoAltaVidaPrice: Moderate• Latin American• Naperville•4.1
