- BBronnaVIPAsheville / Western North Carolina •135 reviews4.0Dined todayWe had lunch at Virginia’s on King and overall it was a good experience. Our wait person was friendly and helpful which kicked things off on the right note. Sadly they were out of the deviled eggs, so we opted for fried green tomatoes which arrived are out table piping hot and tasty. My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich with vinegar based BBQ sauce, slaw, pickles and steak fries. I never pass up a meatloaf sandwich but this one was served on Texas toast and there was way too much ‘bread’ versus meatloaf. The meatloaf was tasty, the aioli was good, and the fries were excellent. Would I order the meatloaf sandwich again? Only if was served on a bun.More infoVirginia's on KingPrice: Moderate• Southern• Downtown Charleston•4.6

Loved the new addition of the Mahi tacos to the Restaurant Week menu- but please put your fabulous fried chicken back on that menu, please! :)More infoThe Swamp Fox at the Francis Marion HotelPrice: Moderate• Southern• Downtown Charleston•4.4
- BBryanVIPSouth Carolina •16 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoGreat atmosphere, food, and service. We regularly go to Tavern & Table in the warmer months and sit on the dock level with our dog. We sometimes forget what a nice experience their inside dining is. The vibe is casual sophistication, and the food is always well-prepared and enjoyable.More infoTavern & TablePrice: Moderate• American• Mount Pleasant•4.6

- SBSarahBWest Palm Beach •6 reviews5.0Dined on 11 Oct 2024Let me start by saying Mike is an incredible host, server, chef, and historian. This was a one of a kind experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique culinary experience in Charleston. While it is not a conventional restaurant, Mike takes you on a culinary journey of 18th and 19th century low country cuisine, keeping things as authentic as possible while still appealing to our modern palates. Each dish was carefully crafted and thoughtfully prepared. The table was full of strangers, but we all got to chat and listen to Mike’s wonderful presentation of Charleston history to go along with each dish. Our specific meal was centered around Legacy families of Charleston, so we enjoyed dishes each family would have also enjoyed. Mike deserves all of the attention and reservations he can handle. As he says, he’s one of Charleston’s best kept secrets, and I believe that to be true because I had a fantastic experience.More infoHistoric Charleston Supper ClubPrice: Very Expensive• American• Downtown Charleston•4.6
