The space is beautiful. The food is delicious though I found the fish stew disappointedly oily and less enjoyable than I hoped. I will return and recommend it BUT a bit of "reading the room" is indicated. She is the only person who seemed to enjoy her loud musicMore infoEliaPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Bucktown / Wicker Park•4.5

- BBrianOrlando / Central Florida East •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIf you are a lover of true Roman cuisine, you'll feel right at home at il Carciofo. It (selfishly) pains me to write this as it is already a long line to get a reservation, but as a couple who truly loves spending time in Italy and have yet to find an American restaurant that holds its salt, Chef Joe Flamm and his team hit this one out of the park. Watching him work the kitchen was like watching a conductor at the Orchestra. The carbonara, carciofi and pistachio gelato transported us right back to our favorite spots in Rome. We originally booked back to back nights in case we had a last minute scheduling conflict, fortunately we did not. We enjoyed last night and we'll be back again tonight to take on the other half of the menu. Hats off, Chef!More infoil CarciofoPrice: Expensive• Italian• West Loop•4.8

My server Alysia was super helpful and had made our anniversary celebration absolutely special! It was really nice and thoughtful of her. Will definitely be back!More infoAba - ChicagoPrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• West Loop•4.8

The food was so authentic, and my carpaccio was so unique, same as their homemade lemonccelo, tasted so good and freshly made. Service was impeccable and friendly.
