Opt for a booth if you need a little more room as the seating is close together. My fiancé and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was delicious. We ordered the Caesar salad that had a very tasty dressing. The black pepper macaroni was so good! The portions were very generous. I also ordered the gnocchi and lamb chops . Everything had great flavor. It was so great to be here for our date nightMore infoBistro RomanoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Society Hill•4.8

We know the Bastia folks from one of our old favorites--Res Ipsa--and had heard good things about this place, tucked inside an unassuming, cool boutique hotel in Fishtown. Great atmosphere and ambiance, outstanding service from start to finish, creative cocktails and lots of nicely plated selections to choose from. Our party of four shared all four first course choices, shared a pasta dish, and then had the swordfish and duck entrees (both fantastic). Topped by good desserts and coffee choices. We'll definitely be back...and must admit the idea of a staycation night in the hotel is pretty inviting.More infoBastiaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Fishtown•4.8

I found the food to be average, the chicken kebabs were excellent, but the Mediterranean rice and the tabouli dish were average. Our waitress seemed pressed for time and for the table. We were repeatedly pressed about ordering our food and we didn’t take that long to decide either, we had ordered drinks and the appetizer first. At the end of the night when we wanted to order one more drink, as it became more crowded, she said it was likely that she would need the table, but then none of the other tables around us were pressured Like we were to leave. It was so obvious that the young lady at the table next to us was nice enough to offer for us to sit with them, but we ended up going to stand at the bar just to finish our drinks. one of the managers near the bar was nice and wasn’t sure why she did that and offered an extra chair there. I realize they’re still new so I hope they work out some of the details but overall really fun!More infoMonaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Center City•3.7

The menu is eclectic, and the food, while good, is surprisingly lacking in the spice implied by the restaurant's name. A small plate steak kebab was high quality meat but the dipping sauce and tzatziki were both bland. Roasted beets were also well-prepared but needed more seasoning. My companion's lab ribs were excellent, although one out of three pieces was almost totally fat. The pumpkin roll dessert was the best part of the meal.More infoSpice FinchPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Center City•4.8
