In fact, other pizza entrepreneurs throughout the country and as far away as Aruba looked to Bill as a mentor when they were starting out. Along with the original secret recipe, Pizza Bill produced the first double decker pizza and many other innovations that have inspired several pizza places.     My pizza was disappointing, greasier than I expected but the kids enjoyed theirs and the caesar salad was tasty. Service was slow and we were left with empty glasses for a bit and had to flag someone down to ask for refills.

    We've dined at SLYCE in Wauconda several times, but this was our first visit to Vernon Hills. The food was great as always. Charlie, our server, made a great recommendation for a pizza we had never tried, and it did not disappoint. Very good experience, overall.

    The holiday decor is amazing. Service was great. Service and someone else who checked in on us were friendly and attentive. We went after the holiday for brunch so it was a little quiet for the neighborhood. I;m sure it's more lively at other times. A few normal breakfast type items and a few kinda sweet breakfast items. I had a nice mocktail.
