Best Portuguese Restaurants in Mile End

Excellent service from the very beginning. We had booked a table, but when we arrived, we were given the choice to sit further into the restaurant away from the door. Pedro was very helpful with choosing wines, providing an at table tasting service. The food was all delicious, as were the drinks. All of the waiting staff were very attentive and helpful. There was a good, lively atmosphere without being too noisy, and our table were all able to easily converse with one another. A really wonderful afternoon!

The food is spectacular and the service is excellent

This is the second time I've been to Douro, previously for lunch, last night for dinner. Both times the food has been excellent and very reasonably priced. I was particularly impressed by the service both on the night, where it was attentive without being overbearing, and in advance when my booking number oscillated between 7 and 10 and the Douro team were quick to confirm that the changing numbers weren't a problem. I'll definitely be back as will the friends I came with last night.

We had to leave our table unexpectedly because my fiend received a call to say his son was being taken to hospital following an accident. The manager waived the cost of the water and helped us exit immediately. It was very compassionate and kind. We shall return and cannot commend the staff enough.
