- JJohnnyOrange County •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was overall one amazing meal. The appetizers were close to perfect. The bacon steak perfect, fatty and full of flavor, it even came sliced. The prawns were special and excellent but $100 for 3, pricey. The scallops were solid but would've benefited from some basil and/or pesto, but cooked to perfection. The shrimp cocktail was very very good but the shrimp seem small next to the prawns. The server forgot to put in a salad and the entrees came out so we passed, it was not a big deal and he made up for it by removing the cinnamon butter cake that no one liked for the traditional one which was better in every aspect, flavor and texture. The entrees were cooked to perfection which was extremely important to me not just because they were prime steaks but because my last visits to Ruth and Flemings failed and severely overcooked my steaks as in ordered medium rare and received well done!!!! The sides were rich and full of flavor and complexity, we had the white cheddar mac which is probably the best mac u can find and the wild mushroom gnocchi which was my choice was delicious and in my opinion a huge portion. Drinks were crafted nicely, rye old fashioneds and something mango m fire or something like that, that was very good and definitely brought the "fire." The desserts other than the butter cake were probably the weakest part of the meal, they werent bad but nothing was amazing. We had the sin cake was a solid B, the creme brulee was not very good and seemed to have sat in the refrigerator next to other foods for too long as it tasted off, and the espresso cake was good but needed ice cream not just the milk/cream it comes with. It is not a souffle cake like i had hoped, but it was ok. Overall, it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The filets and ribeye were fantastic. The bacon steak and prawns were wonderful. I would absolutely come again, its clean, beautiful and the service was very very good. - BBoLas Vegas •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoHad a fantastic experience at this place! First the manager Cesar came by and told us happy new year and let us know he’s available if we have any concerns we asked him for recommendations and he told us to split the bone in rib-eye and a big lobster, was a great portion for 2 people, the server recommended some sides and we went with her dessert for recommendation of the Grenache which was killer!!!! At the end John stopped by who is the new GM asking about our experience and thank us for dining in, absolutely fantastic timeMore infoWater Grill - South Coast PlazaPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Costa Mesa•4.8
- DDavidVIPOrange County •15 reviews5.0Dined on 26 Dec 2024We went to celebrate my girlfriends birthday on Christmas Day. I had made reservations in advance and asked for a romantic table for two seated next to each other. It was quite busy and we were twenty minutes early. The host told us that our table would be ready at our reservation time so we went to wait at the bar. The staff was extremely helpful and kind even though it was very busy. The host came and took us to our table right on time. I couldn’t have been happier a private table that sat four so we were able to sit next to each other. Our server Tyler was exceptional!!! He knew the menu well and answered all of our questions. We started off with the Kumiai oysters, delicious. We enjoyed our wine and warm bread and butter. For our entrees we each had the 8oz. Filet Mignon and added the Australian Lobster tail. Everything was cooked to perfection. Then Tyler brought my girlfriend a delicious dessert on the house for her birthday. We enjoyed our celebration and couldn’t have been happier.More infoMcCormick & Schmick's Seafood - AnaheimPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Anaheim•4.3
