Best Seafood Restaurants in Ocean View

The food and our waitress were outstanding. In addition, Hannah, the hostess was most gracious to recommend parking areas and arranging a nice seat for my first date with this lady.Overall, it was a great experience!

The hostess and service were excellent. We got to sit where we wanted -the oyster bar so my daughter who lives in Dallas could have a great oyster house experience. The food was great! Oysters presented and explained well, staff friendly and prompt service.

We have been dining at One Coastal for many years, predating the arrival of James Beard Award Finalist Chef Matt Kern. We were so delighted that after One Coastal changed hands we were able to enjoy the same unrivaled, creative, fresh Delaware cuisine. Tonight our family ordered the duck and the rockfish. Both were expertly executed. The flavor profiles of both dishes were unusual, cohesive, and delightful. My husband and I both enjoyed our cocktails, a Duchess and a Ryanhatten. I dined here for the Feast of the Seven Fishes: 6 seafood dishes plus dessert. Not all the dishes were successful, but I applaud the chef’s originality. IMO, the exceptional dishes were: 1. The first one, oysters with a champagne toast. What was exceptional was the hint of ginger. 2. My second favorite, the second one with thinly sliced raw baby octopus and white truffles with a blood orange vinaigrette. 3. My favorite, the sixth course, olive oil poached catfish with caviar. The catfish was so so so good! One It was pillowy soft and delicious. Its sweetness and richness was nicely offset by the arugula salad. 4. The seafood soup. Not overly rich and the mussels, cockles and shrimp were perfectly cooked. The less successful dishes for me were: 1. The fried baccalia and artichokes. I found the fish overcooked and way too salty. 2. The squid ink spaghettini. The pasta was bland and while the uni butter and chili emulsion were excellent, there wasn’t enough of them. Dessert was average. Not too sweet. My biggest complaint was the mousse which was too hard and thick. Service was excellent and I very much appreciated how each dish was described to us.

I’ve been here many times. Great service but was somewhat disappointed on the Fish Stew. It’s off season so maybe my expectations were too high.
