What makes this place truly special isn't just the incredible food – it's the feeling that you're being welcomed into someone's home. The owner greets everyone personally and pitches in alongside the staff, creating a warmth that's rare in upscale restaurants. We started with the grilled octopus, which was absolutely perfect – tender and beautifully seasoned. But the real magic happened when our filet mignons arrived. I know it sounds like a cliché, but these steaks truly do melt in your mouth. Every bite was pure bliss. Our server Niki deserves special praise. She had that wonderful ability to appear exactly when needed while letting us enjoy our evening uninterrupted. Actually, the entire staff worked seamlessly together, from the attentive busboys to the owner himself. It's clear why this has become our favorite restaurant. The best part? This wasn't a one-time lucky experience. Char Steakhouse delivers this level of excellence every single time we visit. It's the kind of place that makes any occasion feel special, whether you're celebrating something big or just craving an amazing steak dinner.More infoChar Steakhouse - Putnam ValleyPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Putnam Valley•4.6
- AAsha KayNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoI took my mom to Benjamin for her birthday it was absolutely amazing. The ambience and decor was nperfect . Our waiter Ari was so lovely and welcoming , he checked on us frequently to make sure that we were okay . We had the Lump Crab Cake for appetizer 10/10, the Benjamin’s Salad 10/10. For our entree we had the Steak for Two, Broiled Lobster tail, and Mashed Potato. Let me tell you I’m not a steak person but that steak was soooo flavorful and cooked to perfection 100/100. The Lobster Tail was so soft and buttery 100/100. They brought out a Apple Strudle with Vanilla Ice Cream for my mom and sang her Happy Birthday. She enjoyed her night we plan on going back for lunch one day .More infoBenjamin Steakhouse - WestchesterPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• White Plains•4.6

Starting with a consistent warm welcome that makes you feel at home to excellent martinis and wine list that leads to a menu with something for everyone from pasta to seafood, chicken and steaks. I encourage trying the daily specials which offer seasonal appetizers and entrees (many offered as appetizers as well. Florida Rock shrimp risotto and eggplant rolotini both great last night! Attentive staff without hovering. Excellent all around.More infoSaviniPrice: Expensive• Italian• Allendale•4.9
- RReginaVIPNew York City •53 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoExcellent service. I usually dine here for dinner so the lunch menu was new to me although we did start with the Greek salad and saganaki, which are staple go to apps. Both were prepared very well and consistent with past visits. I tried the fish and chips for the first time and while it was good, I thought the price was a bit steep for just one moderate size piece of fried sea bass. The platter was filled mostly with a basket of fries and accompaniments like shredded lettuce, a sliced tomato and asparagus. For the price I would stick with their simply grilled fish options, which is what I usually order for dinner. We tried the almond cake for dessert which was tasty and a nice finish to our meal.More infoVarka FishhousePrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Ramsey•4.8
