Best South Indian Restaurants in Carnegie Hill

Overall the food was really good. I was confused as to why they served the mutton rolls and cauliflower with mayonnaise. I'm Sri Lankan and mutton rolls are generally served with chili sauce, I've never seen mayo with Sri Lankan food before. The rest of the meal was really delicious.

Coromandel is probably the best Indian restaurant in the US and a very good restaurant of any kind.

Very good freshly prepared food. Tends to be on a spicy side, but VERY good. Excellent naan I n many varieties. Delicious butter chicken and lamb roganjosh. Very nice service.

Food is very good. Tends not to be crowded when we go on early end, which makes us think the quality of the food may not be widely discovered. We’ve been to about 5 Indian restaurants on the upper east side and none is better and only one possibly is as good, but the service is better at Om. I drink a lot of water and my glass never got near empty!

We were seated right away. Food was delicious; servers were responsive.
