Chef Shubert came out to say hello, and the whole evening is very special. The beautiful live oak tree in front of the hotel is still lit with beautiful white lights, giving it still a festive feeling even though the holiday season is officially over.More infoTRIBUTEPrice: Expensive• Southern• West Side•4.9

The area is prime real estate and the ambiance was well put together. We ordered the gumbo and collared greens for appetizers. We ordered a large gumbo assuming this would be a small bowl like most restaurants do it but I was surprised. It came in a very large bowl that was enough to feed 4 people as an appetizer and 2 people for 2 full meals. Not only was the portion great but it tasted amazing! Not like any gumbo roo I’ve had before. The collard greens came out as boudin balls which were fried with a sauce on the side, we expected regular greens in a bowl but these were an amazing take on greens. It was crunchy on the outside , nice , soft and juicy inside.. the sauce provided wasn’t needed but 100% elevated the dish. The price point for both seems pricey but the food is portioned really well so it’s worth it. For the entrees we had the fried fish and grits with crab and lobster on top & the lambchops. The fried fish had to be our favorite dish, it was enough for 2 to share and the flavors were all there. The gravy on top was perfect and the crab added a well thought out sweetness element to the dish. The lambchops were also amazing with the chimchurri they provided.. even though the dish was good, we felt like everything else we had out performed the lambchops. This was one of the best soul food restaurants I’ve ever been too and I hope everyone can share the same experience. 10/10More infoKulture RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Southern• Downtown•4.5

We were warmly greeted and seated, got good recommendations and service from Kevin, and even a scrumptious looking bread pudding on the house to celebrate the birthday girl. Nice upscale ranch vibe interiors with valet or free garage parking. Will be back to try more menu items.More infoHaywire - Memorial CityPrice: Expensive• American• West Side•4.5

- JJaliyahHouston •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoMy sister and I had dinner at Grace’s, and it was such a great experience! We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes, which were so crispy and flavorful—a great way to kick off the meal. And we were complimentary cornbread with a sweet butter (delicious by the way). For my main dish, I had the Cajun Stuffed Chicken, and it was amazing. I upgraded to the Crawfish Mac and Cheese (so worth it!) and swapped the collard greens for seasoned green beans. Shoutout to our server, who was super helpful and suggested those upgrades—she really made the meal extra special. The vibe at Grace’s is warm and cozy, like being at your grandmother’s house. The dress is casual, but going business casual would feel fitting for this location—it has that polished yet inviting atmosphere. The only small downside was that the table next to us was a bit loud, but honestly, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed everything else. My sister and I both left happy and full, and we’ll definitely be back!More infoGrace'sPrice: Expensive• American• Upper Kirby / Shepherd Corridor•4.8
