Best Southwest American Restaurants in Carefree

We had a wonderful dinner today at Soul Cafe. The green goddess salad is a favorite and was so good—big enough to share. My husband had the seafood pot pie which was phenomenal. He absolutely loved it—rich, flavorful—just perfect. I had the blackened mahi which is one of my favorites. It was perfect—spicy but not too spicy. Really lovely dining experience!!

Food is excellent. Service is excellent. Fresh and delicious food, fantastic margaritas, and a beautiful view have brought me back to Rita’s over the past 13 years every time I am in Paradise Valley. Even more important —the staff at Rita’s have always helped to provide safe meals and desserts for my daughter who has tree nut allergies. My favorite restaurant!

We had Christmas Eve dinner here and it was delicious! Great food and a fun, southwestern restaurant to celebrate the holiday at.

Fabulous dinner with a long time friend. I love the rustic feel of the Tonto bar and grill. The views are amazing our server was very friendly and attentive. We had the corn chowder which was rich and delicious. The pork was flavorful with the right amount of spice. Thank you Tonto for a lovely evening

A place that knows it value, the Mercado at Tia Carmen is a more than solid choice for breakfast. Its buffet style breakfast, has a not to large not to small selection of hot and cold offerings. Nothing is subpar, and many selections (like the beef, rice and yogurt) are exceptional. Only bake goods are uneven in taste. Coffee is top notch. Jams, meats, fruit and great. Omelette station available too. Service is attentive and not bothersome. Expensive but worth it.
