- GGiovanniVIPNew York City •38 reviews5.0Dined todayGreat experience food was perfect. Started with local oysters and the Shrimo and Lobster wontons which were crisp and had just the right amount of sauce on them. Then the wedge salad with the pungent blue cheese was a great. Finished with the NY Strip and Miso Cod. Steak was cooked exactly to temp and the cod melted in my mouth. The highlight of the night was the butternut squash side with the toasted marshmallow fluff and pecans a must try!More infoTellers: An American ChophousePrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Islip•4.8
- TTomGreater Boston •10 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoNice prix fixe lunch today at Mill Pond. $34.95 for a 3-course lunch is a pretty good deal and the menu has some nice choices. Service was outstanding! The lobster bisque was tasty (albeit a little too much on the salty side). The steak frites was OK (strip steak was a little on the chewy side and a medium rare request was NOT honored - steak was rather tough and cooked closer to medium well done). Fries were lukewarm, too. It would be nice to have more than gelato as a dessert offering. That said, the chocolate gelato was OK (vanilla is the other flavor available). The view is very nice and the overall feel of the restaurant was relaxed. A gentleman circulated several times to our table during the meal to ask if everything was to our liking ... it was to the extent that it was an otherwise pleasant afternoon with food that was just good, but not really good. Would I return? Yes but looking at the high dinner prices and today's lunch just getting a good rating at my table for 3, I might just return to try lunch service again. I've lived locally all my life (67 years) and finally made it to dine at Mill Pond House. So on a scale of 1-10 I give the food a 7.5 and the service and location a perfect 10.More infoMill Pond HousePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Centerport•4.6

- PPeterVIPNew York City •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had reservations but decided to sit and eat at the bar. Vince the bartender was very courteous and attentive with our drinks and meal to the point he deliciously modified our drinks to perfection. As always, the seafood bisque and onion soup were superb. We had ordered the short rib which was a little on the tough side and could have had a little more gravy to compliment it. Otherwise, a great place located on the water who are great hosts to locals, regulars, and first time dinersMore infoThe Oar Steak and Seafood GrillPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Patchogue•4.6
