- AAlanvipChicago / Illinois •94 reviews5.0Dined todayOur party of 4 had a wonderful time at the Evie, The setting is lovely with large windows on the second floor showcsasing the MMichigan Ave holiday decorations and lights. Our server was terrific, attentive, knowledgeable, personable and gave us good advice. The food was delicious inluding the clams and mussels, Lake Superior Whitefish, chicken, sushi and artichokes. A little expensive but worth it for the quality of the food.More infoThe EviePrice: Expensive• American• River North (Chicago)•4.8
- RrichardvipChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoOur experience was excellent throughout. The drinks were generous and very well crafted, and the wine cellar was outstanding. The crusty shrimp deviled eggs were incredible as was the calamari. While the crab cakes, too, were superb, the branzino, while done well, was not particularly memorable. The quality of service is my usual complaint, but, here, I was pleasantly and impressively satisfied. Diego, our server, was highly professional - one of the best I have been happy to have been served by. He was consistently friendly, efficient and attentive while not being obtrusive. He very well represented the restaurant. I hope the House recognizes his contribution to its reputation. He was exceptional. The ambience is outstanding, tastefully done without being garish or obvious. It complemented the entire experience instead of endeavoring to be the center of attention. The noise level, where many fine dining establishments and almost all other popular hot-spots fail, making conversation a challenge, was limited to a friendly and warm consistent with the low hum of other conversations and the occasional clink of glass and silver ware. Overall, our experience at Steak 48 was without complaint. Steak 48 clearly recognizes its primary focus as hospitality where all of the disparate parts are harmoniously blended together. It may be on the pricier side, but one should get that for which he pays. Here, you do.More infoSteak 48 - ChicagoPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• River North (Chicago)•4.8
- JJamilvipChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoMy husband and I enjoyed an amazing Thanksgiving dinner yesterday at RPM Steak. The entire experience was top notch. From the ambiance to the service to the cocktails and wine to the delicious food to the meticulous timing and orchestration, we could not have been more impressed. And unlike last year at Prime & Provisions (excellent food and service as well), we were not limited to a rushed 90 minute seating. To the contrary, everything was leisurely, calming, and paced to our liking and comfort. Now on to the food. We both started with the harvest salad, which was tasty, zesty, and refreshing. Followed by possibly the best lobster bisque soup either of us have ever had. For our entrees, my husband had the halibut and I had the turkey (roasted white meat, fried dark meat). Both were superb. High quality ingredients and skillful preparation. The meal also included three sides. The mashed potatoes and bread stuffing were outstanding, the green bean casserole was just okay. Perhaps for future Thanksgiving meals, they may want to offer patrons a selection of five or six sides, for which each table selects three. For our desserts, my husband had the carrot cake and I had the pecan pie (or rather, we shared both). Oh my. Talk about yummy and delectable! Chicago would be well-served if RPM Steak opened a bakery next door. All and all, our first visit to RPM Steak was exceptional and memorable. All the more to be thankful for on Thanksging day.More infoRPM SteakPrice: Very Expensive• Steak• River North (Chicago)•4.7
- WWillardChicago / Illinois •10 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe took two friends here for Thanksgiving dinner and had an excellent time. The decor is pleasingly dark and polished but with plenty of light. The food was very good. My husband has a filet of sole, which was filleted right at the table and was delicious, according to him. Two of us had the prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner, which was traditional (turkey, etc.); it was substantial and well-presented. Our fourth had the seafood grill, which he enjoyed. Service was exceptional from Matt (although I think he was a little disappointed we were all from Chicago) and the others helping him. We had an early reservation (11:00 am), arriving when there was hardly anyone there. By the time we left the restaurant was full but the noise level was still low and it was easy to carry on a conversation during the meal. It was our first visit and I think we may come back. A very enjoyable time.More infoJoe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone CrabPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• River North (Chicago)•4.9
- PPaulChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoFirst visit since the place was converted from Ben Pao.. Beautiful feel (reminiscent of our beloved LEYE "Avanzare" restaurant). The music level was, in our opinion, too loud to maintain a pleasant conversation. It id not seem to affect other diners. Your Italian wines list is superb. We tried a bottle from Sicily (on our own but with approval from your in house sommelier).More infoRPM Italian - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• Italian• River North (Chicago)•4.6
