Best Steak Restaurants in Santee

Top tier experience! I made a reservation via OpenTable to celebrate an anniversary. We were seated fairly quickly and our table was decorated with a Happy Anniversary card. The waiter was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable about the menu. For our app, we opted for the crab cakes with red bell pepper sauce. The crab is the star of this appetizer--no overbreading or miscellaneous ingredients to fill the crab cake up. Plain, simple, and delicious. Also, the complimentary dinner rolls came with a whipped smoked cheddar spread and champagne Brie. Both had the softest, velvet-like texture. For entree and sides, my partner and I shared the 35oz tomahawk, the roasted sweet potatoes, and lobster Mac n cheese. Probably one of the best steaks I've eaten due to cut and preparation. Simple ingredients with bold flavor and great technique. The lobster Mac was so good and the roasted sweet potatoes had great flavor profiles. We were too full for dessert, so our waiter gave us complimentary champagne and chocolate truffles. Very pleased with the whole experience. Thank you for a great night to celebrate an anniversary!

I wasn't sure what to expect an Christmas Eve. I once again chose one of the specials- Stuffed Seabass. The food was excellent as usual. But what surprised me was how well the chaos was organized. It was crazy busy but every patron was taken care of with a smile, expediency, and efficiency. My honey and I were led (at our reservation time, not late) to a tucked away corner where we could enjoy our meal without shouting at each other. This is a great restaurant to celebrate holidays, special occasions or any regular day.

Dry-aged Delmonico was the best steak I've ever had. We raised Angus beef in Indiana and in the 66 years I have walked this earth, there is no finer steak.

We finally tried Steak 48 and it definitely lives up to the hype! Had a wonderful Christmas eve early dinner. It was a treat to sit at the bar-James, the bartender was friendly, made excellent drinks & further detailed the menu. We ordered the crisp shrimp appetizer, bone-in rib-eye, bone-in filet & roasted cauliflower. All were fantastic, cooked perfectly/as we ordered & came out sizzling hot. Quality of food is superb, as was the service and ambiance. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks, James & Steak 48!

We recently visited Ruth’s Chris Steak House and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with a warm welcome that set the perfect tone for a hearty meal. The steaks / seafood were cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sides were also a highlight, especially the garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and sweet potato casserole. Rachel and team provided excellent and attentive service. Overall, a great spot for anyone looking for a top-notch steak in a relaxed setting. Highly recommend!
