All meal items were served perfectly and timed so that everyone’s meals arrived at the same time. Outstanding prime rib, lobster and king crab. Entrees varied from NY Strip, filet, ribeye, lobster & their thick pork chop. All arrived together & prepared as requested- sides, cocktails and service did not disappoint.More infoFleming's Steakhouse - Newport BeachPrice: Expensive• Steak• Newport Beach•4.5
- SSuzanneVIPLos Angeles •68 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoHad an early 5:00PM Saturday birthday dinner with another couple and loved the hip and happening vibe at Ocean 48!!! Oysters and crustaceans on ice surrounding the kitchen was a fun entrance. Music was great and the pool inside one wing of the restaurant would be fun to sit by next time but we had a great table at the far end and enjoyed people watching. We shared a salad and prime meatball appetizer, then loved the salmon as well as scallops with sides of baked potato with a ton of toppings on the side and awesome creamed corn! Outstanding. Expensive but more than enough when split. Waygu prime rib next time. Looked delicious! Nice wine and cocktail selection and they brought a beautiful chocolate layered cake with the birthday guy’s name in chocolate sauce on the plate was a classy touch. First class service!! Don’t miss the bathrooms as they have the heated seat Japanese toilets and modern sink hardware to die for 😄. We will definitely go back!More infoOcean 48 - NewportPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• Newport Beach•4.9
- MMikeLas Vegas •16 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoIf you're looking for an excellent prime rib dinner look no further. Five Crowns in Corona del Mar. We had the crown cut (end cut), shared a wedge salad which is enough for two, and my son had the French onion soup. We dined like kings and queens. Five Crowns is part of the Lawry's family with other Lawry's prime rib restaurants. I have also been to the House of Prime rib in San Francisco (reservations 3 months in advance) but Lawry's and Five Crowns beats them hands down. I suggest Lawry's have a contest to see who has better prime rib between House of Prime rib and Lawry'sMore infoFive CrownsPrice: Expensive• American• Corona del Mar•4.6
- JJohnnyOrange County •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis was overall one amazing meal. The appetizers were close to perfect. The bacon steak perfect, fatty and full of flavor, it even came sliced. The prawns were special and excellent but $100 for 3, pricey. The scallops were solid but would've benefited from some basil and/or pesto, but cooked to perfection. The shrimp cocktail was very very good but the shrimp seem small next to the prawns. The server forgot to put in a salad and the entrees came out so we passed, it was not a big deal and he made up for it by removing the cinnamon butter cake that no one liked for the traditional one which was better in every aspect, flavor and texture. The entrees were cooked to perfection which was extremely important to me not just because they were prime steaks but because my last visits to Ruth and Flemings failed and severely overcooked my steaks as in ordered medium rare and received well done!!!! The sides were rich and full of flavor and complexity, we had the white cheddar mac which is probably the best mac u can find and the wild mushroom gnocchi which was my choice was delicious and in my opinion a huge portion. Drinks were crafted nicely, rye old fashioneds and something mango m fire or something like that, that was very good and definitely brought the "fire." The desserts other than the butter cake were probably the weakest part of the meal, they werent bad but nothing was amazing. We had the sin cake was a solid B, the creme brulee was not very good and seemed to have sat in the refrigerator next to other foods for too long as it tasted off, and the espresso cake was good but needed ice cream not just the milk/cream it comes with. It is not a souffle cake like i had hoped, but it was ok. Overall, it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The filets and ribeye were fantastic. The bacon steak and prawns were wonderful. I would absolutely come again, its clean, beautiful and the service was very very good. Well done Mastros.More infoMastro's Ocean Club - Newport BeachPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Newport Beach•4.7
