Best Steakhouses in Kihei

I recently dined at Son’z restaurant and while there were some enjoyable moments, there were also some areas that could be improved. When we ordered the red wine, it was served in a chilled glass, which was unexpected. Usually, red wine is served in a temperature controlled glass to enhance its flavor, so this presentation was a little disappointing. When we raised this issue with our server, he was initially a little frustrated. However, he later acknowledged our point and became more welcoming. During our meal, he made a point to check in on us, asking how the food was and if we needed anything else, which made us feel more valued as guests. Despite the initial hiccups, we still enjoyed our meal and the overall ambience. In the end, we decided to leave a tip of over 40% to show our appreciation, which made him very happy. It was a great way to end our dining experience. Overall, I appreciated the experience but hope they will consider tweaking their wine service in the future.

Christmas Buffet. Tons of choices including nice seafood offerings. Lobster, shrimp. Many types of sushi. Something for everyone. All of us were happy. Do be aware it’s expensive but I think very fair. When booked we did not realize it was a buffet . Not mentioned in the online booking.

We had a great meal on Christmas Day! Our server was excellent…I wish I had gotten his name. We weren’t rushed at all. One thing to note and the management might want to consider: we had a small dog with us and when I looked on website to see if they were dog friendly, I could find anything about that. When I called they said it wasn’t a problem and indeed it wasn’t an issue. They may want to add that information to their website for future guests (apologies if it is there and I just missed it). Almost everyone was outstanding. Our waiter was okay. John (Manager), Grant, and others were phenominal making up for the waiter. Waiter forgot a drink and we often had to ask others for things because she didn't come around much.

The food and service here are second to none!! We were seated quickly even though we were 20 minutes early. The drinks were phenomenal as was the food!
