- JJisuChicago / Illinois •6 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agonice venue, but different than my expectations (I imagined a large, visible open flame pit or something to that effect after visiting their website). Anyway, the service was really good overall, although there wasn't a ton of explanation, other than the large format seafood app and the 42oz Wagyu steak choices (maybe those are what they're trying to sell mostly?). The seafood platter w/ fries is pretty good, but if there is a next time, I'd just get the baked oysters and prawns with a side of fries. The lobster was pretty undercooked at the thick parts (almost raw) and the scallops were very underwhelming and basically gets "lost" in the sauce. The sauce itself is delicious and worthy of mopping up w/ an order of their bread. The bone in ribeye was very good, not overly salted and cooked to the right temperature. Side of broccolini was very good with a generous portion size. Bourbon old fashioned was very standard and "right on" without being overly sweet. Overall, a good experience and I can say I've tried it.More infoEl Che Steakhouse & BarPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• West Loop•4.7
- CChrisChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoBrought my wife for her 60th birthday. Great food, service and an amazing family atmosphere. Would recommend to everyone who enjoys steaks and chops. I personally loved the boned in pork chops. My wife had the filet that was so tender she cut it with her fork. At the end of the meal we had the carrot cake and birthday cake. Was delicious. Want to thank the owners and staff for a wonderful birthday dinner!! - MMatthewOrlando / Central Florida East •11 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoIt's really a great steak. Octopus app was a little cold and stiff, but good. Dry aged NY Strip was a dream. Great sear, perfect temp. Tender and juicy with a rich flavor without the gamey over tone that you get with dry aged beef at times. Honestly, it was that good. Service was spot on and a nice atmosphere. The final comment is to be prepared to pay top dollar. $200 per person all in with cocktail, app, glass of wine, entree, and side. But if you want a premium steak, it's worth it.More infoPrime & Provisions SteakhousePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• River North (Chicago)•4.7
