- WWayneSan Francisco Bay Area •681 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoBest overall value and Edomae/Tokyo-style sushi in the Pacific!! The assorted sashimi plate for two under $40 is a steal!! My fav Nippon brew, Asahi Super Dry, on tap…….plus a healthy variety of sakes and shochus for those that prefer moonshine!! Easy ordering using the table tablet. Super friendly service by the floor staff and the most skilled and experienced Japanese chefs working hard behind the bar. What more can you ask for??More infoKatsumidori Sushi TokyoPrice: Expensive• Sushi• Waikiki•4.6

- AAnnVIPHawaii •1 review5.0Dined on 12 Dec 2024Amaterasu has moved from its previous location at the Artizen bar inside Velocity to its own shop on the first floor of Ala Moana (directly under The Lanai). Chef Hideo is still at the helm creating an elegant experience for $89 lunch and $150 dinner, all BYOB, with exceptional fish selections, preparation, and service. Our recent dinner here was perfection. I've been to multiple different omakase in this price point on the island and Amaterasu continues to be my favorite. It's the right balance of traditional and modern in a comfortable, beautiful setting, with a small bar seating of 7 people. Every piece is perfectly constructed with care. He does prefer specific kinds of seafood, such as engawa, toro, mackerel, amaebi. Will return!More infoAmaterasuPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Kaka'ako•4.9
