Best Sushi Restaurants in Newtown

We had a great dinner. The menu always offers a wide variety of dishes we like and we enjoyed all of our selections. The service was attentive and great and the overall dining experience was enjoyable. We always recommend the restaurant.

Our annual Christmas dinner to Rubys was a great success as always. Truly a great night. The ambiance of the restaurant pairs so well with the holidays. Tony was our waiter as he has been for the last decade plus and does such a perfect job. Best waiter in town!!! Lupe his assistant was also great. Started out with oysters and two sushi rolls. All excellent. The oysters were really outstanding. For steaks Tony convinced me to try the Wagyu Ribeye gap. It’s not cheap, but it was one of the best steaks I have EVER had. Such an amazing flavor profile and great crust. Although it could have been a little more done to a true Med Rare. It was a great steak!!! Everyone’s else’s steak was made to perfection as we expect from Rubys. Finished with a slice of buttered pie. An outstanding meal and great Christmas tradition!!!

Yummy as usual! Vegan dumplings are the best and buddhas garden is my favorite.

Overall, sushi was really good! Our server was very attentive and food came rather quickly. We got the maki boat and was perfect maybe a little more for four people.

The food and service were amazing! The history of the building was so interesting. We did have to wait a little bit while to be seated after our reservation time. It is to be expected during the holiday season. It was crowded, so it was somewhat difficult to hear the rest of my party , but that shows how everyone was enjoying their evening. It was a memorable way to celebrate our 25th anniversary. UPDATE: Management reached out immediately and apologized for the additional wait time again. I really appreciate the customer service and quick response. It is a good choice for those special occasions.
