Best Sushi Restaurants in San Anselmo

We had a wonderful dining experience at Sushi Ran. The service the Sushi Ran team provides is excellent and with such care and sincere joy. The food was so delicious and beautifully presented. They made celebrating our daughter’s milestone birthday very special throughout and with a sweet treat to end the evening.

Nakama is a convivial, comfortable place that was open on Thanksgiving day. Our server Benjamin took good care of us. Hard to choose among the many offerings. The Aji, Hamachi, Kasugodai, and Umimasu nigiri were so delicate and fresh. The tempura baby bellos were juicy and just right. We tried the Hotate Bacon and Kushiyaki skewers, but found them not as outstanding as the sushi. The Negihama handroll had especially good nori. We had delicious hot sake and finished off with the not too sweet mango panacotta. Get your reservation for you and your friends!

Great for family with young kids (coloring menu with crayons) with wide menu variety for everyone. Spacous friendly environment. Reservation honored on time, Food served quicky and deliciously fresh tasting. One of our go to places.

Love happy hour menu since many selections! Sushi was good and ambiance was nice! Highly recommended for the price and location!

The team was super attentive from the second we checked in. Knowing we were celebrating a birthday, Bo and his team made sure our birthday person had a good experience. The overall ambiance is good, with fun Japanese music in the background allowing guests to have conversation but not overwhelmed by other noises. The chef presented beautifully made 19 course omakase. He too was polite and paced our meal based on the flow of our group. We didn’t try the beverage pairing this time, but there will be a next time!
