- PPeterWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoI had a wonderful experience yesterday evening with a friend at the Capital Grill,in Tysons Corner. The food was excellent. The ingredients were of a high-quality and well prepared. My friend and I started with the calamari with cherry peppers. It was so good that I could easily find myself returning to the restaurant for that alone. The calamari was lightly fried and spiced with the most delicious peppers. The serving size was generous, but not oversized. The filet mignon was cooked just right and impressed us as also being of the highest quality. We also enjoyed very much the side dishes of potatoes, asparagus, and corn which were also carefully prepared and which complemented our filets perfectly. We skipped wine for this meal, but did enjoy their signature cocktails. Although I don’t usually order a restaurant signature drinks, as they are too often gimmicky and overpriced, these were just the opposite. I certainly intend to order them the next time I go to the restaurant. But as good as the food was, the experience was taken to the next level by the superb wait staff and their support team. We were extremely fortunate to be served by Jose G. who really set the bar for how to provide the very best restaurant, service. He was prompt, helpful, genial, and never overbearing. We had the feeling that he was nearby if we needed him for anything, but he was never in any way intrusive. José truly made it a wonderful dining experience for us. I could go on about the beautiful interior design, of the restaurant or how every employee that we interacted with was friendly and eager to be of assistance, but suffice to say this is a restaurant we look forward to returning to in the very near future.More infoThe Capital Grille - Tysons CornerPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Tysons Corner / McLean•4.8
