    I had lived in Toronto for many years before moving away from the city. Had to come in a few days for work and decided to visit DaiLo with a friend. Why did I rob myself of this experience for so long? The food was 5-star! We ordered the wontons, pork hock, tacos, and the smoked duck. Every dish hit its mark perfectly with well-balanced flavors. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice and it isn't a place that packs restaurant goers elbow to elbow. Lastly, the service provided by the staff rivals the quality of the food.

    Overall the dinner was really outstanding. Food was amazing, and the overall vibe of the space was lovely. They even offered us free dessert, but we were too full to take them up on the offer. It was very loud in there though, and when they would describe the dishes I couldn’t hear a single word. Also, we were seated 15 minutes after our reservation. It was too cold to wait outside, but there was nowhere to wait inside and it felt really awkward. They did their best though.

    Our server was disappointing. He had no inclination to take us through the menu or make suggestions. The carpaccio was chewy -not edible. The trout was fine but not amazing. Dumplings were oily and did not come to table hot. Have been to dailo many times and always loved it. Will not be returning.

    Amazing experience at DaiLo! We got the Chef Choice and everything that came was better than the last. Mind blowing flavours and I love a meal where I feel like everything is fresh and new. Thanks DaiLo for making it special!
