   Went here for Valentine’s Day and had the 5 course tasting menu, no wine pairing. Sea Bass and Steak were both excellent. The meringue desert ice cream / sorbet with sponge cake was also fantastic. Overall, left satisfied with the food and service, but the restaurant is very overpriced.

   Just expected more for the price, food was ok. Could have gone to 3 Omakases for the price of the prefix menu w/wine paring. Place was busy for Vday, maybe we’ll try again another day, when they don’t need to churn out so many people. Service was very good, staff very pleasant and courteous.

   The food and presentation was excellent, though the portions were small. But it was the service that ruined the evening. First, the waiter took our orders but had no interest in coming to the table for other than that. Second the time between courses was much too long. Third, when there are four persons at the table, there should be two servers for the main dish. We had one. She brought out two entrees and the had to go back to the kitchen to get the other two, while the first two plates were getting cold. We will not be returning to Deuxave.

   Deuxave is a fabulous restaurant if you’re in the mood for something special. We recently tried their 5 course tasting menu and it was a wonderful culinary experience taking us on a journey through different cuisines. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine. This was our second time there and we will definitely be back! This a special gem in Boston!

   This was our second visit to Deuxave in the last two months. The first trip was in celebration of our wedding anniversary where we enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu and wine pairing so much that we decided to treat our parents (who had never had the pleasure of such a dining experience). It was again, an outstanding dinner with top quality meal preparation accentuated by excellent service. We were delighted to share this truly special experience!

   We really like the place and the ambiance. The appetizers were great even if 75% of the seared Foie Gras appetizer is garnish - it was delicious. The entrees were good in flavor, but almost cold. Let’s call it Lukewarm. Steak loses so much of its flavor when it cools down too much and my medium rare was pretty tough as well to be honest. The duck was excellent but as well lukewarm.

    3rd time and has always been delightful Food is excellent, service is truly professional (which you don’t find these days) Wine list is extensive but could use more at the moderate 100 to 150 price point.
