– “where sunshine spends the winter” – also known as Tex-Mex cuisine served in an Old-West-inspired atmosphere alongside music inspired by Austin.

The cuisine is a combination of 1950s Tex-Mex and the wood grill that has taken the food to another level by way of fajitas and more. An “evolved Tex-Mex menu,” includes the classics: tacos, nachos, tamales and enchiladas plus more intricate dishes such as wood-grilled fajitas and shrimp tacos always served with just-made flour tortillas, all while paying homage to the traditions and recipes that have been a part of the Texas culture for decades.

The food and service at this restaurant is top notch. When you walk into the restaurant there is a cozy feeling met with welcoming smiles from the staff. The winter menu is available now and has so many great selections to satisfy whatever mood you’re in for your meal. I particularly loved the seared duck breast with winter vegetables and a balsamic glaze tonight. It was tender and delicious! Also, our waiter provided exemplary service and we can’t wait for our next visit.

Our style of cooking is defined as simplicity at its best. We built the restaurant to elevate the guests' level of comfort. The bar, tables, and booths were custom-made by a local wood worker. And we searched the nation for unique works of Art to deck our walls. Music of Blues and Rock greats fill the air. Service is as important as the food. Our staff is sincere, knowledgeable and friendly. They hustle to deliver the best service around, yet take the time to remember your name and how you like your drink.

We had dinner one Wednesday - while not what I would consider a high end restaurant - they provided a great experience and the value was outstanding. After a couple drinks, two entrees and a dessert our tab was just under $90. The food was very good and well worth the expense. A couple of creative dishes on the menu accompanied by a few items that are more standard fare (steaks, etc). As a side I had some kale with bacon in a cream sauce - unique and delicious. Never thought kale could taste so good! Dessert was a crème brûlée with with cookies and cream added in (not chunks of Oreos) and it didn’t last long. We will be back.

Place is FAB…. My only complaint is valet .,there was only one guy there, and lots of cars, so,it took us ten plus minutes to get our drive..I hesitate to complain about this, because, usually, there are two valets and in and out is easy…
