Our restaurant and wine bar has been serving authentic Italian cuisine in the City of Fairfax for over twenty years. It all starts with our unique brick oven, one of the first wood-fired ovens in NOVA, and our fresh pastas made in-house every day. The scents of garlic, tomatoes, and herbs follow you through the restaurant as you see the hand-painted murals covering our walls. These personal touches provide a cozy setting that takes you away to Italy and is perfect for any occasion. Our menu has a range of dishes, from traditional Italian offerings to unique personal selections. We are dedicated to using fresh ingredients from our own garden and sourced from other local farms. The restaurant was very busy . First time back in a long time. Food was not good my husband dish was supposed to have a red sauce came with white. My gnocchi was mushroom . Mushrooms on top were burnt the dish had a burnt flavor. We would not go back Extremely loud Edie

The service was outstanding, everyone was very friendly and attentive to our large group of 9 on a busy Saturday evening . The food came out in a timely manner and the pace was good - just the right amount of time between apps and entrées. The food was delicious and everything was hot, which can be a challenge with large groups. I would highly recommend Dolce Vita!

Some of the bright LED ceiling lights in the dining room were angled to beam directly into diners' faces, making it very uncomfortable. The shrimp wrapped in pancetta was actually wrapped in plain old bacon, and somewhat burnt at that! The rib lasagna tasted less like a lasagna and more like a pile of overcooked meat! And the pasta ai frutti di mare came in a spicy arrabiata-style sauce, rather than in the marinara sauce that it was supposed to. Overall, an unpleasant and expensive dining experience.

This restaurant is fantastic. Always is. My husband and I went for our Wedding Anniversary recently. When we arrived they wished us a happy anniversary and asked what number. When we sat down they gave us a personal written card and complimentary glasses of Prosecco to toast with. Very nice, personal touch. The food is always good.

The server was friendly and attentive. The food was great! We sat near the front door so there was a lot of traffic coming and going. I would sit in the back room if given an option next time we go in.
