Named after Elias (Ely) Shapley of Greenville, Mississippi, Ely’s was established in 2008 with an emphasis on the highest quality beef, seafood, and spirits, while featuring an extensive wine list and friendly professional service. Located upstairs overlooking the Railroad District in Old Town Ridgeland (MS), Ely’s mixes the old with the new, offering time tested dishes in a cozy, upscale, contemporary setting unlike most local steak and seafood restaurants.

    1st time to Ely’s. Wonderful food and my 8 oz Filet was tender and flavorful. The only drawback was the waitress didn’t check on the table very much. I asked for some extra salad dressing and never saw it.

    Ordered medium well steak, got medium rare, other than that it was pretty good. Upscale vibes, I enjoyed it.

    Food was delicious and service was exceptional. The popover rolls were so light and delicious, it is worth a trip just to experience them. I was extremely cold and after putting on a wool sweater i was still freezing. I mentioned to the server and she asked the manager to turn the ac down which we appreciated.

    Great food and service. Jessica was terrific. Drinks excellent. Food was hot and prepared exactly. Crab claws are a delight.

    This will be our new go to place when in Jackson. Perfect lighting and low noise greeted us. Delightful waitress who didn’t push us but was attentive. We opted for seafood instead of steak . The special sea bass was cooked perfectly, the sauce being more salty for my taste. The crab cakes were tasty, full of crab. We opted for one side to share, you’ve got to try the Mac and Cheese.

    Fantastic as always. Coming to Ely's routinely since it opened and have never been disappointed. Richard and Chris are always great hosts and we love Jennifer and the always fantastic service. The food is awesome and always come away happy and with a full stomach!
