the food was excellent; grilled cheese/tomato soup and smoked salmon sandwich. The only downside was the restaurant was full and the acoustics made it hard to hear what one's table mate was saying

We always enjoy having lunch at Farmstead Table. The soup, salad, and popover is my favorite choice. The restaurant honored our reservation and we were seated immediately. The waiters were very attentive and overall we had a good experience and would return again.

Farmstead Table does it right! This quaint restaurant in Newton Center is simple and elegant all at once. The menu is fairly small but the choices are diverse. We tried the mushroom board which was excellent. The pork chop done just right and the staff was very attentive! I will most done back!

Food was very salty and fish was not fresh. Pumpkin hummus was odd, with a few pieces of carrots and celery. Popovers were carelessly reheated for $12. Not worth it.

Farmstead Table should be everyone's "go to" restaurant when you need a special yet unpretentious restaurant. The staff are friendly (but not seeking to be your new best friend) and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere is low key, nicely decorated, and NO TV! The food is very creative and extremely delicious, and with offerings that you would not find elsewhere. Farmstead Table is a favorite for brunch or lunch. I have not yet enjoyed its dinner menu but have no doubt that it's equal to the task if not better.

Great food. The popovers always bring me back! The butternut squash soup is so good! Definitely worth a visit.

We were there for brunch. The food was delicious!! Lovely setting- simple but attractive. A small place, making it awkward to move around tables, use restroom, etc. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Service was very slow and not very attentive. I definitely want to go back and try another meal!
