- RRodolfoMemphis / West Tennessee •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoMy wife and I are empty nesters with my son and his wife being nurses. Their schedules have them working the holidays. So, going to El Torito for the holidays has become a very cool thing for us to do. My wife and I enjoy the food and the appreciate the service for Christmas (on Christmas day, no less). Ricardo has been the best server we could hope for. Always keeping our mimosas filled. No complaints.More infoEl Torito - West CovinaPrice: Moderate• Mexican• San Gabriel•4.5

- HHectorLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined on 28 Nov 2024If you're craving authentic Japanese food, Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya in Alhambra is a must-visit! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an authentic vibe that transports you straight to Japan. I started with their famous Japanese meat skewers—absolutely delicious! The yakitori was perfectly grilled, with just the right amount of char and tenderness. The flavors were spot-on, and each skewer was a delightful burst of savory goodness. Next, I had the ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a great depth that comes from hours of careful preparation. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings (from soft-boiled eggs to tender slices of pork) really elevated the dish. It's easily one of the best ramen bowls I've had. To round out the meal, I enjoyed a glass of cold sake. It was smooth and refreshing, a perfect complement to the meal. Overall, everything was great. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly without sacrificing quality. Whether you're a fan of yakitori or ramen, this place does it right. I’ll definitely be back for more!More infoShin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya - AlhambraPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Alhambra•4.6
