Best Authentic Restaurants in Yamacraw Village

Wexford was great! Very close to an authentic Irish Pub. Food was outstanding, with big portions. The prices for the portions were on point. We were seated upstairs, but the band was not playing yet. I feel it could get loud once that started, but otherwise, not too loud. The front patio and the courtyard seating was really nice and they had live musicians too.

This restaurant was my favorite in Savannah- the food was excellent and a good value. The service was efficient and friendly and the ambiance was wonderful. I highly recommend. Plus it is located across the street from the Owen’s-Thomas House which should not be missed. Parking in the street was fairly easy also. Make a reservation and visit this historic restaurant and Inn.

The food was excellent. We went for lunch so it was quiet. Seems busier and louder at night. The chicken parm sandwich was out of this world. The sauce has a a sweetness to it which I love. My daughter had the baked ziti which was sooo yummy. My other daughter had fettuccine Alfredo, the sauce was on the thin side but authentic. Hubby got the gyro sandwich (I know why would you get that at an Italian restaurant) but he says it was delicious. Our server was super sweet.

Shika is the best server at Graffitos. Always ask for her. Graffito is the best Neopolitan style pizza in Savannah. Their ceasar salad is also amazing. I also always get the Hot Honey Pizza, but next time I go I'm going to get the Osso Bucco.

Our first time to dine at Vic’s. A little confusing finding and walked down to the river front and went to Vic’s River Grill next door. The host at VRG kindly walked us to the Vic’s on the River entrance and explained about going through the coffee shop and using the elevator to go up four floors to the restaurant. Come to find out they have a street level entrance that we used after dinner. We had a reservation and they let our son, whom we were meeting, be seated at 5:45 or we would have been 10 minutes late so that was good. The atmosphere was great and we had a table with a window facing the river. Our server, Alix was very friendly and knowledgeable of the entire menu. She took our cocktail orders and brought us out a basket of homemade biscuits. The martini’s were very good and my son’s Malbec was good also. My son and I had the braised short ribs that came with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans which was very tender and tasty and my wife had a Caesar salad. We found the prices to be very good. We will definitely be adding this restaurant to our Savannah dining list but will find a closer parking garage and now know about the street level entrance.
