Since I was 13 years old, I've been in the restaurant industry. I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value.     It was nice. And that’s really all I can say. Was not entirely thrilled with flavor and for what they charge, you’d expect some serious innovation and creativity. We had a few things, a few of our waiters favorites, mostly seafood (apparently what they are known for) and so I was expecting more from our selections. Leaving little curiosity for the rest of the menu. It was good quality food but nothing was amazing, pretty standard. Desert and coffee was the best part. The ambiance, view and decor are beautiful but I don’t see any reason to return.

    Give yourself and your party time. as the drinks and food arrived rather slowly. Food though was delicious. We had an early evening reservation (5:15) on a Friday night and there were lots of available tables, with a few people coming in for pick up orders. By the time we left though (7:30ish) the place was full. Too full to order dessert but very happy with the meal and certainly the selections on the menu.
