Best Authentic Restaurants in Forestville

Amazingly, Augie's French does NOT have a Cesar Salad on the menu. I know, unheard of, right? While that, in and of itself, is reason enough to celebrate Angie's with 5 stars, the rest of the menu is well conceived, and well executed. Nothing groundbreaking, but it's a bistro, so that is also welcome. This is about standard offerings, that deliver what they promise. Pretty much the definition of a bistro and the reason why I'll return to Augie's often.

Loved this little spot in Forestville. First time and we would go back for sure. We had the Sangiovese and Spices poached Pear, House smoked Prosciutto and Cheese Sauce, Rosemary Focaccia Crostini to start. DELICIOUS. Very different than flavors I've had before, which FYI I'm a foodie, so this was a nice treat. We followed this with the Stuffed roasted Quail wrapped in Prosciutto over Squash and Parmesan Gratin, Sweet Potato Leaves and Sage Oil. SUPERB! the stuffing was highlighted with sage flavors. BELLISOMO!

This was our first time at Campanella and it did not disappoint! We dined with friends who were also first timers. Everything we ordered from fresh salads to Nonna's meatballs, four cheese ravioli (amazing sauce!) , eggplant parm and the delectable desserts were all absolutely delicious. Servers were super friendly, professional and extremely attentive. Drink were also excellent and the vibe was cozy and fun. All in all, an A+ and, yes, we will be back! Thanks Campanella staff. You guys rock!

We love Portico!! The food, the service, the ambiance. All perfect. One of our favorite places.
