Tired of the loosely French inspired humdrum of restaurants popping up across the city of London? Do you like holidays? Do you like cold drinks and warm service? If you've answered yes to one or more of these then perhaps Tollington's can refresh both your pallet and your mind. The idea came from a mirror in an antiques market and a love for a more informal approach to dining, the result is a chippy in North London with old church pews bolted to the walls to be leaned on and eaten from. The focus is on fish but the menu transcends fish, mammals and vegetables, leaving no stone unturned in the never ending quest for flavour.     Once again, an excellent pre-Christmas lunch with family. Fantastic extensive menu with something for everyone to enjoy. Generous portions, beautifully prepared. Excellent friendly highly attentive staff looking after us, and in particular my visually impaired Auntie and elderly father, so well. Highly recommended, faultless all round.

    If we could give 10 stars we would! This is such a wonderful restaurant. The food, wines, service , ambience are all outstanding! To pick a few items off of the menu, I would recommend the gnocchi, which is homemade and outstanding + the modernese pizza is one my favourites. The quality of the ingredients and all the food is always guaranteed.

    Final visit of the year, and during the very busy run up to Christmas. They'd had a full restaurant over the extended lunch period but food quality, service and friendliness was as good as ever for the evening. A nice, lively atmosphere but not too raucous. We chose from old favourites and the special festive menu and all were cooked to perfection as usual - Marco heading the kitchen and Davide hosting the front of house. Standards remain very high - as expected of this award winning restaurant!🏆 Congratulations! Many thanks to all the team, and we wish you all a great Christmas and a successful and happy New Year.

    We had a great italian meal here and service was very friendly. Small restaurant with wooden tables and some high-chair window seats plus small deli.
