We shared the chicken empanadas, which were very tasty and had a lot of filling. Husband and I both had the picanha steak, which was cooked perfectly, very tender and so flavorful. The black beans were literally the best I ever had. Our son has a Cubano, which was huge and had a lot of meat. I wanted dessert, but no room. We had the barrel cut filet cooked medium rare with the bourbon peppercorn sauce with a lobster tail add on and it was the best steak I’ve ever had. We also had the lobster Mac & Cheese which was over the top! We finished off the meal with the bread pudding and it was the best EVER! Recommended: the carnitas plate, the brisket plate and the pork tacos. Both plates have a 1/2 portions option and seriously, 2 people could easily split even the 1/2 plate if you order and appetizer, too. The guacamole is good - but we found it needed salt or more acid. Im sure that's just a personal preference. The carajillo cocktail is sneaky and so easy to drink. Our friend got the churro cheesecake and devoured it. Our server, Tommie was sweet and attentive. The only suggestion we could make has nothing to do with the food. The live music is great however it was extremely loud and we had a hard time communicating with each other over dinner. We may have stayed a little longer and had a few more cocktails if the music volume was just a bit lower.
