We made the reservation without knowing they would have a thanksgiving menu and were anticipating seafood, but could not resist trying the special thanksgiving selections. They did not disappoint. We started with the Ube bread, and with the melted honey butter and drinks, made a tasty start to the evening. The seafood coming to tables around us looked fantastic also and I only wish we could have had more time on Maui to return and try more. We will be back in the future!More infoMala Ocean TavernPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Lahaina•4.8

- KK1234vipCleveland / Akron / Canton •23 reviews5.0Dined on 14 Nov 2024A great addition to the West Maui food scene. Feels like you are in Kyoto and you walk into a really good neighborhood sushi restaurant. Small and intimate space - 1 table of 4 and 7 seats at the sushi bar. The decor is clean and minimalist. The fish quality, assortment, and preparation were all outstanding! An all omakase menu with interesting sake pairings (good interesting). The hamachi shabu shabu, the Hokkaido scallop, and the snow crab were my favorites but the fish was all excellent and the ‘front row’ to watch the chef in action added to the atmosphere evening. For an authentic Japanese evening, Takumi hits the spot.More infoTakumi MauiPrice: Very Expensive• Japanese Speciality• Kaanapali•5
