Welcome to the Black Bull.Tucked away in rural Lancashire, between cloud topped hills, green fields, rolling pastures, and lots of cows... sits The Black Bull Inn.Nestled in the picturesque village of Old Langho, our stone building has been here since the 1500s. Steeped in history it has it's own warm welcome to travellers from far and wide. Our menu is fresh, local and has a nice balance of those "pub classics" but brought up to date in modern and inventive ways.Dog friendly in the bar area or garden, and plenty of cosy seating available in front of our roaring fires, in The Library, or in our gorgeous, beamed, renovated Fire Barn.

With access to panoramic views of Pendle Hill, and a range of seasonal menus, created and tailored by our Chef Patron, Doug Crampton, Eight at Gazegill is the epitome of a 'farm-to-fork' restaurant, being owned by and located directly on a working organic farm, Gazegill Organics, in the Ribble Valley. Showcasing the best of the produce from the farm, which includes organic slow-reared pork and raw milk, and utilising the seasonal bounty that can be found in the surrounding hedgerows and countryside, Eight at Gazegill reconnects guests to nature through the food. Our Brunch, All-Day and Sunday Lunch menus are suitable for all, while our Friday and Saturday evening Tasting Menu offers a more grown up experience. We also have specifically designed menus which are suitable to be eaten on our outside terrace area where the addition of a large purpose-built playground makes this the perfect location for families to enjoy the sunshine.

Lovely food as usual. We had quite a long wait for the main meal but it was certainly worth the wait when it arrived! The room was quite cool but outside it was about -3 so I’m not surprised. The heaters were on and they were really trying to warm the place up. Overall a great experience.

Food was absolutely delicious and service was wonderful. Would prefer a more traditional style of desserts, however.

We had an excellent lunch today. My only criticism is the staff at times were too attentive clearing glasses and cups from individuals - it was an obvious selling technique which became annoying as it occurred several times by various staff. Most people can request additional drinks if needed. Based upon your tipping criteria this means higher bills and therefore higher tips if more drinks are purchased.

One of the best meals out I’ve had in ages. Blacklock might be my new favourite Manchester restaurant. I loved everything about it - low key, unpretentious but such high-quality. Friendly staff, efficient service. It’s really excellent.
