Best Casual Restaurants in Hammond, IN

First time visiting . Food and atmosphere was amazing. Had an opportunity to talk to owner Steve what a great guy! We Started off with the Smokey old fashion and a glass of wine followed by the Calamari and Oysters as Apps ask for some horseradish on the side for the Oysters Highly recommend the Salmon, definitely spicey but probably one of the best prepared Salmon I have ever had. She enjoyed the Thai Chicken salad which was also excellent As a side try the Brussels Sprouts Presentation of all of the food was outstanding A Chicago class restaurant in Northwest Indiana a must try. we will be back.

The service was excellent. My servicer was Abraham. He was professional and friendly at the same time. The food was great. I had the broccoli cheddar soup. It was amazing. Next came the wagyu burger. It came with seasoned fried.

Fast seating, Great service. One of the best Hooters. Left Oak Lawn because of poor service and drove all the way to Lansing and they didn’t disappoint

Still working through new location kinks, but there is good consistency in food and wine for this new Schererville outpost. We had an enjoyable time and our hospitality gem Zakai was a delight. Consider two recommendations: a) offer dressing-on-the-side option for salads. There’s simply too much on the salads currently (and not just the Schererville location); and b) for the wine tasting area, consider putting “stunt liquid” in the empty bottle displays on the wine shelves. Though understandably for “anti-theft”, it makes CH appear that they can’t trust their customers before we even sit down. (Almond white sangria is simply un-stealable anyway. blah.) Ultimately, the food, wine and service will make this location a success for years to come.
