Since 1746, the building that houses this tavern has played a part in the establishment of our nation; first as a respite for stagecoach travelers expanding westward and later as a covert rendezvous point for George Washington, Marquis de Lafayette, and other leaders of the American revolution. It is believed that during the infamous winter of 1777–1778 at Valley Forge, a major figure in the Continental Army, master military mind Friedrich Von Steuben, designated the tavern as a secret black powder munitions stash for Continental Army couriers. All the while, the tavern continued to provide food, shelter and cheer to the hungry, weary soldiers fighting for their independence. Today, we honor our historic tavern’s tradition with a mission to raise the spirits of our guests.     We went to try it out. It was extremely crowded, and yet Jay was very efficient in checking in to make sure we had what we needed. Jay was very good at his job. Everything about TFK was beyond our expectations! P.S. Please don’t run out of pizza. Thank you!

    Overall, our group of four enjoyed our 2.5 hours at Fraschetta. The ambience was quaint. The noise level from the 2nd floor was not too, distracting,' quiet enough for everyone to be able to easily hear one another. The food was tasty though I felt one of the pasta specials was a little small. We ordered two pasta dishes (Rigatoni alla Norma and the Spinach Special), a steak entree, and the pork entree special. We followed that up with tortinos, gelato, panna cotta, expresso, coffee, and cappuccino. The overall bill was over $200 feeling as if some the dishes were overpriced by around $5 per plate. That all said, we did enjoy our time, meaning, I believe that we would come back in the future.
