Food seasoned to perfection! Ambience is fantastic. Please please notate the “Gluten Free” options clearly on the menu and train your servers and cooks on this topic. For Celiac disease persons , Gluten Free is A Must Have, not a fad. Consider an option to fry the fish, seafood or chicken in a separate dedicated fryer using Gluten Free FLOUR “ with advance notification of this special request 🤔. This would elevate Southern Kitchen to the top of restaurant choices.

We ordered the she crab soup for an appetizer and it was delicious! Entrees were the meatloaf and shrimp & grits and both were amazing! Kat was an awesome server - very attentive and kind. The Savory Grain is one of our favorite Richmond restaurants!

The menu seems to have been reworked and the new additions were delicious. The server however was the star. David was warm and welcoming he got everything exactly right, very efficient he made the experience that much better.

Cute and cozy, this is a little gem in Short Pump's Pump shopping center. Never mind that it's across from the Chik-Fil-A. You soon forget that after you enter this charming bistro for date night or a double date. I highly recommend it for wine lovers, although other adult beverages are served. (I would not bring kids or even teens, since it's really not a family restaurant kind of spot, especially with the wine shop at the entrance.) The service is knowledgeable and friendly, and the food is delicious, if a bit pricey. You can dine tapas style or choose from several starters and entrees. We did the latter, but the former would have been fun too. The Christmas specials, based on the owner's mom's recipes, were a very clever addition to the menu. My only criticism is that the specials menu, which was printed on blue paper with a tiny font, was a struggle for me to read in the ambient lighting without turning on my phone flashlight like an old lady; consequently, I did not order anything from that menu. The Wine Whisperer is a winner and sure to be a local favorite.

We spent our Fab 5 Holiday evening in the Igloo...Service was impeccable...food was all fantastic! Definitely will return!
