Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Lake Forest

We loved our breakfast at Little Goat, and keep in mind that it is little. Recommend booking ahead. The Okonomiyaki was a wonderful bowl of flavor and textures. Chocolate scone was big, had a good crunchy crust and delicious. Wait staff were friendly and attentive.

Molly took great care of us as we celebrated our friend’s birthday. It was his first visit to L.Woods and he loved the supper club atmosphere. Three of us ordered the delicious Sunday Special, buttermilk fried chicken! The desserts we tasty too. Another delightful dining experience in Lincolnwood.

Made last minute reservations on the afternoon of Valentine's Day. The place of hopping with families, I was with my 3 granddaughters. We were seated right away. Our server was outstanding - checking in frequently when passing by to assist other patrons. The table runners were friendly and efficient. Food came out hot, especially appreciated that the soup was delivered hot as that has not been the case in other establishments. Food was prepared well and very good. Even though there were people waiting, I never felt rushed at all during the meal. Very pleased with the entire experience.

A GREAT dining experience! 1st off, I have to give praise to the SERVICE ! It was top notch from the moment we entered the door, to the meal, & to the checkout. We commented that every customer was receiving attention not only from the waiters but the bussing staff, & even the Maitre'd who would periodically move through the restaurant & check with customers! 2nd was the food. There were diverse choices for everyone. The appetizers were quite good (We had the meatballs with arugula in marinara) & sizeable. The entrees were prepared to perfection. "Francisco's Salmon' was awesome. We had Key Lime Pie for dessert - the best this side of Key West! 3rd was the drink menu. There were various good wine choices. We chose 2 of the 'House Cocktails'! The 'Paloma' & 'Arturo's French Martini' were both awesome! Finally, the ambience was comfortable. The noise level was moderate - a sign that everyone was enjoying the food and atmosphere. Scotty's on Sheridan was a great experience from start to finish!

Best restaurant hands down! No wonder it won the title of best neighborhood gem. Everything about the place is great.... food... atmosphere... staff. Wonderful way to spend the day!
