- JJonathanNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoTuna Tartar and the Halibut special were both very good. Mussels were a little overcooked and I have had better. Bar knows how to make a drink. I like Sapphire and tonic with muddled cucumber. Sone places just don’t have a good bartender. This does. Good vibe. Will be back.More infoStern & BowPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Closter•4.7

- DDawnNew York City •3 reviews5.0Dined on 29 Dec 2024We were in New York the Sunday before New Year’s, and had the great fortune of going to Sugar Bar. I seen Valerie Simpson on TV a few days before and it reminded me of this restaurant. So glad I happened upon that interview. A New York neighborhood restaurant bar was full of chatting people having a good time. The food was good. The drinks were great and the desserts scrumptious. More importantly, it was beautiful to pay how much to Ashford & Simpson. It reminded me of growing up with their music in the background. We went on a Sunday; next time I’ll be sure to go on a day that they have music!More infoSugar BarPrice: Moderate• Comfort Food• Upper West Side•4.5
- CChristineVIPNew York City •32 reviews4.0Dined on 29 Dec 2024I've been wanting to eat here for a long time so brought my west coast sister and nephew who were craving NY pizza. Our server was awesome! The front room has a funky, lively vibe. The food was ok. My nephew had the margarita, sis had the lemon pizza and I had the pepperoni version. For someone who ate often at a famed Bushwick establishment, Parlor is only 80% as good by comparison. The crust here is too dense for me. Our salad was great but the calamari order was over-fried and our drinks were poor approximations of an old fashioned. Maybe it was just an off night given other reviews have inspired me to put this on my "must go" list. Still better than most pizza in lower Westchester and the location is iconic Rivertown so I'd say give it a try.More infoThe ParlorPrice: Moderate• Pizzeria• Dobbs Ferry•4.8
