They opened a restaurant on Cumberland’s bustling Mendon Road with nothing to their names other than a shared dream and vision - fresh and local ingredients, prompt and friendly service, all to be had at an unbeatable value. They developed a motto and never steered away from it – “If you are not proud of it, do not serve it!”. Attentive and friendly service. Food was authentic French food. They weren’t trying so hard as some other French restaurants do. It was hard to decide what to order. Desert menu didn’t disappoint with crepe Suzette and pot au chocolat. We will be back!

Christmas Eve tradition continues with the Feast of the Seven Fishes at Bar’Lino in Johnston. It was the perfect venue for Richard and I to bring my mother to so that she could take part in this sacred Italian tradition; and enjoy it she did!! The easy in and out of the location proved super easy for her and the decor was upscale sophistication. The food was plentiful and tastefully prepared. Their version of the seven fishes began with a dish that consisted of-baccala salad, snail salad, calamari and the most tasty smelts ever. The next dish was the perfectly al dente spaghetti and clams. The last course was broiled cod, baked stuffed shrimp and broccoli rabe. We were so full that we did not have room for desert at that moment. However, for those who have been to Pane E Vino, you know how delectable their bread pudding is; so we did get three orders to take home🤗. It was a special evening being able to share this tradition with my mother as I have for the past 67 years❤️.
