Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Thornbury

Excellent dining experience! Our server Kyle was very attentive and our table was in a quiet corner. I had the filet mignon which was perfectly cooked and so tender. My husband had the special - pressed short rib. Sides were mashed potato and onion rings. OMG - these were the best onion rings we have ever had!! We can’t wait to come back.

We had the Valentine's Day dinner. Glad we had a reservation because they were slammed! We were given a glass of champagne and a chocolate covered strawberry while we waited, but seated at a great table in a very timely manner. Everything was wonderful, but the coquilles St. Jaques stole the show. AMAZING! Our server, Holly, was helpful, friendly and professional. We never felt rushed and had a wonderful dinner and a wonderful evening.

Our table was ready for us when we arrived. It was set up nicely for Valentine’s Day. The service was great and checked with us several times. The food was delicious. We will be back for sure.

Fantastic Galentine’s dinner with a dear friend. Service was impeccable. Manager stopped by to ensure we were enjoying our experience. Recommendations for type of steak to order were very much appreciated. Spot on and to our liking. House made focaccia was delicious. Flourless chocolate cake was devine. Pasquale our server was very attentive and professional. Highly recommend especially for occasions when you want to feel special.

A fun, old ski chalet-style/decor vibe. Very casual and very fun. They have bells at most tables to ring when the table wants a round of apple snapps shots. Larger bells to ring when someone wants to buy shots for the whole restaurant. (apple juice shots for kids). Our Server (Carrie) was the best - excellent service and so happy to be serving you - you could tell she loves her job. 4 of us had pork schnitzel- deep fried I believe - it was good but not fantastic - but good enough that I would order it again. The mushroom gravy was excellent. For the sides, the Spatzle was ok - a bit bland. The Swiss rostie potato was excellent. 2 others had the Chicken St. Moritz and both said they really liked it. Awesome beer menu. One dessert was ordered - Black Forest Cake from Thornbury bakery- and it was LOVED by all. This place was so fun, casual and lively. Good food with a great atmosphere. Great service. A definite return- and probably going to go and try their breakfast which also looks fantastic.
